Death Is Coming

It 2:00am in the morning of the 25th April 1915.  I am on the beach with my Army standing next to me.  We were shooting bullets at the Turkish soldiers. I killed one soldier.  I shot him in the hip. I stole his gun and used it.   

A few ANZAC soldiers went to go to run up the hill.  The rest went to ran along the beach.  We were all fighting hard. There were lots of Turkish soldiers to fight.

All the ANZAC soldiers that were up on the hill were killed by the Kabatepe guns.

I saw a Turkish soldier. I shot him in the head. Me and the boys ran down the other side of the hill waiting for more Turkish to come.

We all hid in the big bushes and in the trees. When more Turkish soldiers started to run across the grass we jumped out and started shooting bullets at them.

They were screaming in pain. There was heaps of blood like a waterfall. They all fell down and died. More Turkish soldiers started to arrive. Death was coming to us all….

Reflection I am learning to write an interesting recount.I am so proud of making my recount interesting by using similes and adjectives.It can be tricky to the right adjectives for the right sentence.My buddy can help me by checking my work.The next step for me in my learning is to write an even better recount.

My Speech About Homework

My Speech about Homework

Hello my name is Bailey and I am going to tell you why  you should do your  homework.

Reason One: When we are at school we get Homework. It is three o'clock when we get home. Our Teacher gives us some work to do at home to help us to  get more smart.  This work  is called Homework. Homework is supposed to help us to learn more and be smarter. It makes us practice what we have been learning at school.

Reason Two: If  you have plans to do at home it is very important to remember to do all your Homework for that week or you will get into  big trouble from your Teacher.

Reason Three: When you're doing your Homework you have to finish it on Friday or you will get in big trouble. If you don’t bring your Homework because you didn’t do all of it you will also get into trouble.  It is important when you are getting older to manage your time when you are at home.  Doing Homework doesn’t mean that you stop doing fun things at home like watching the TV, or playing outside or going places with your friends.  But it does mean that you have to make sure you use some of that time to get your Homework done.

Conclusion: Well that is all I have to say to you  because that’s my time up. Thank you for listening to my speech.  I gotta go because I have  got plans to do my Homework at home.  When you  are in your  new school just think about what I just said to you and think about it in your head and maybe that will encourage you to do your Homework and save you a growling from your new Teacher.

My Spelling Strategy

S.A.L.T Spelling Strategy

I am learning to use the S.A.L.T Spelling Strategy.

 I am so proud of being able to use this strategy at home to help me to learn my spelling words.

It can be tricky to find the small words in the word.

 My buddy can help me by giving me feedback on my mistakes.

The next step for me in my learning is to use the spelling strategy more often so that I get into the routine of using it.
